Boxing  Tonkin House;Activision (Tose)1990Knock 'em Out! Six bad bruisers stand between you and the heavyweight title. But you've got the punches, the moves and the big reach, too. Hooks, jabs, uppercuts - plus a special knockout punch you select for each fight. The title belt is all yours - if you're still on your feet when the bell rings.

- Two different views of the action. Unload your knockout punch and introduce his face to the mat.
- 1 or 2-player action. You and a friend can choose your favorite fighters and duke it out.
- Go 12 tough rounds with 6 contenders from around the world, each with his own style and strengths.***
[37]***Also released on a compilation called "Sports Collection" (Tonkin House, 1996).***Despite the boring title, Boxing isn't a bad game. The gameplay is a bit disorienting, since it starts in a three-quarter view of the ring, then switches to first-person once you're close to your opponent, then back to three-quarter when they've backed away. If they had stuck to just one, particularly the first-person view, the game would be far better off. Boxing is essentially an attempt to create Punch-Out!! for the Game Boy with the added ability to customize your boxer's stats. Although the characters are far less interesting (despite the amusing parodies of famous boxer names), it might be worth picking up if you like the series it tries to emulate.
